INEIGHT CASE STUDY
CHEMEX

COLLABORATIVE IMPLEMENTATION
At the start of the implementation, a key estimating team member left the company, leaving a gap in Chemex’s plans. Fortunately, the ongoing communication and collaboration between both organizations laid a foundation for success. InEight understood Chemex’s needs and ambitions and helped manage that transition to reach an ideal outcome. Taking advantage of the modular architecture of the InEight solution, Chemex rolled out new capabilities to different teams, enabling them to quickly recognize the solution’s value. “We would kick off cost controls or another new capability and immediately hear back from our users, ‘‘This is amazing. All the information I need is right here; I don’t have to spend time doing VLOOKUPs in Excel!’” Kamalov adds: “The right technology attracts the right talent. People want tools that allow them to do more, faster, and remove the mundane work of moving information from system to system.”
“InEight helps us drive the best and most profitable outcomes from our projects.”
-Alisher Kamalov, Project Controls Director, Chemex
SEAMLESS CONTROLS AND FULL VISIBILITY
Now that the full InEight environment is in place at Chemex, key information and processes run seamlessly through structured workflows across different functions. “InEight handles everything—quality, claiming, cost controls, document management, reporting—all in one modular system. Now, our entire company has a standardized toolset and approach for project controls,” says Kamalov. With all project-related data managed in one system, Chemex employees from any team can rapidly access consistent information on the current status. “We can create dashboards with real-time information to assess how a project is doing or identify the root causes of an issue,” says Kamalov. “That transparency and access have made an amazing difference compared to our previous disconnected systems. InEight has been a major factor in driving reliable project management decisions.” With access to consistent information on all aspects of projects, Chemex has enhanced its cost engineering capabilities and enabled its teams to easily tackle more complex projects. “With InEight, we’ve bridged the siloed systems across our organization and easily instituted controls, procedures, and processes that ensure visibility,” says Kamalov. “As a result, the utilization of the InEight Suite has enhanced our value proposition as an EPCF solution when bidding new work.”
